Ghost towns are supposed to be a western thing. Dusty saloons, tumbleweeds, a swinging door in the desert. The East has its own version, and honestly, it is stranger. Here the towns did not dry up. They drowned, burned, flooded, or simply got left behind when the mill shut its doors. The forest moved in and covered the rest.
